LIC launched new project ‘Jeevan Samarth’, emphasis on improving agency network

Life Insurance Company of India (LIC has launched a new project on Thursday to meet the changing needs of its customers. The scheme is named “Jeevan Samarth,” and it has been created to bring about changes in the agencies.

To make this change, LIC has decided to work with the expert company AT Kearney. AT Kearney will completely review LIC’s existing agency system and help in improving it. 

LIC CEO and Managing Director Siddharth Mohanty said on this occasion, “Through the Jeevan Samarth Yojana, we want to improve the entire network of agents. Our aim is to meet the changing needs of crores of Indian families and provide them with better options related to long-term savings, security, health insurance, ULIP, and pension.”

Jeevan Samarth Yojana is not just about improving agents; it is also an attempt to change the entire functioning of LIC. Under this, work will also be done at branch, division, and zonal levels. Its purpose is to adopt the best practices from around the world, keeping in mind the rapid changes and new rules in the insurance sector of India.

Siddharth Mohanty also said that this change will not only provide new tools to the agents but will also enhance their skills. This will further strengthen the relationship between customers and agents.
